Double Up: To double down with less than 2X the original bet. Generally, when doubling is allowed, the player does not have to actually double his bet, but may increase it by any amount up to (but not more than) the original bet.

Double Down: After receiving your first two cards, you can double your initial bet in exchange for committing to stand after receiving one additional card. This move is best used when you’re in a favorable position to win.

Insurance: A side bet offered when the dealer shows an ace, allowing you to protect your hand against a possible dealer blackjack. If the dealer’s hidden card is a ten-value card, the insurance bet pays out at 2:1.
